The Young Dong Korean BBQ Talladega 300 was a fantastic end to the regular season of the Signature eNASCAR Cup Series. Once again the drivers in the SECS showed the amount of talent among themselves. This race was filled with mostly green flag laps with one caution during the race. The Talladega 300 came down to pit strategy seeing who could come out in front. That would be Chris Roberge, locking himself into the SECS playoffs with the win.
In a post race interview Chris Roberge had the following to say.
“The victory was amazing, it was to bad I couldn’t do a burn out well because I ran out of gas coming back around,” Chris said.
“The key for my win was saving fuel for the last lap and pushing hard around the track when it counted most to put me in a spot to win,” Chris continued.
“My pit strategy really just relied on what the cars I was drafting with did, on my first stop I actually slid through my pit stall and had to back up. That definitely cost me some time but I was able to recover in the long run,” he stated.
“I have a lot of respect for my fellow drivers so it felt good to run a clean race and come out on top with the win. I am going to keep trying my best to be a contender for the championship this season.” Chris Stated.
The Top 5 at the Young Dong Korean BBQ Talladega 300 were: 1st Chris Roberge 2nd Douglas Carlson 3rd Mark Harris 4th JD Woodward 5th Shayne Wyatt
