The Signature eNASCAR Cup Series Dover 200 was yet another strong showing from the Drivers in the SECS. The Monster Mile was here to make a statement and a statement was made. The SETV Dover 200 was a mix of green flag runs with cautions mixed in. Drivers are still competing for a spot in the playoffs. With just 3 races left who can earn a spot into the Round of 16? Well, tonight that would be Mario Merenda who secured a spot in the playoffs with his win tonight at Dover.

During a post race interview this is what Mario had to say.

“I’m proud of myself tonight is proof of my skill as an all-around racer, not just a good road course racer” Mario Continued.

“It really was such a good race for me, The key thing that helped propel me to victory was the correlation between my pit strategy and the cautions during the race. I stayed out as long as possible the first time, then on the following stops it really just depended on the field and what the leaders were doing. It all worked in my favor and helped set me up to be in the best position to win, which I took advantage of” he added.

“This race means a lot for me because I’m now the points leader heading into the final three races of the regular season. It just adds another level of confidence in my skills moving forward this season” Mario Stated.

“There are some changes coming, during the playoffs I will be switching to a Toyota as well my team will be making several roster moves this offseason. I want to let the other drivers know its not going to be easy from here on out” Mario Said.

Mario Merenda put on a clinic at Dover, starting on the pole and leading a large portion of laps. Tonight was a statement from Mario moving into the final races of the regular season making it known he is a championship contender.
