The Signature eNascar Xfinity Series Charolette 240 was another fantastic display of the clean and hard racing found in the series. Week 6 of the Signature eNascar Xfinity Series got off to a great start, the clean, long green flag stents of racing that we are familiar with in this series was once again the story of the night. Only two cautions were brought out during this long 160 lap race, the green flag pitstops were the ultimate decider in this race. The race would have its second caution with only thirty laps left in the race. Some drivers would go in for a quick pit stop while others stayed out to push the cars to their end. In the end, it would be Nick Leitz who would come out on top holding off Marcin Zemojdzin for his third win in the Signature eNascar Xfinity Series Charolette 240.
In a post-race interview Nick Leitz had the following to say:
“The key moment in this race for me was passing Marcin Zemojdzin with about twenty laps to go. I knew keeping him on my outside for several laps would hurt his tires and made it easier at the end to cruise into victory lane.” Nick Stated
“Pit strategy was defiantly a key force in my win tonight, I pitted around every thirty laps. It forced a lot of drivers to pit early, but it knew it would be close at the end for my fuel range. Thankfully we got a late caution and I was able to go get some fresh tires and make a late charge to the front on the last restart.” Nick said.
“I feel like we have a good chance at the championship this season. We have fast race cars every weekend. It’s a really good feeling building up the momentum up heading into week seven.” Nick said.
” This win means everything for me, winning at Charlotte is amazing. My first real NASCAR race was at Charlotte in 2006, then racing on the legends oval in 2010. It’s always super special to win whenever I race at Charlotte.” Nick added.
“Next for us is to keep this momentum up moving onto Pocono next week. With the off week, we definitely will celebrate some but go right back to work and learn Pocono and be ready for the tricky triangle.” Nick finished
